Innovation Description
Profile
Innovator
Mr. Baburao Dada Suryavanshi hails from Sangli district of Maharashtra.
Purpose
Once while ploughing with bullock in his field, Mr. Baburao got an idea that bullock can be a very good energy source for spraying when the battery of the battery-operated sprayer can not be charged in case of electricity failure.
Technical
details
The circumference of the cartwheel is 1200 mm. Inside that one wheel of 600 mm and a cast-iron cross was fixed. A gearbox is attached to it to maintain the speed of spraying with travelling of the cart. Four nozzles are provided for spraying insecticides/pesticides/herbicides/weedicides.
Benefits
It makes the spraying operation electricity-free and fuel-free and minimize human effort in spraying.
