The traditional knowledge holder has suggested treatment for arthritis.
Disease symptoms: Joint pain, stiffness, swelling, redness, decreased range of motion
Ingredients: 100 g dried roots of Chakor (
Senna tora (L.) Roxb.), 100 g dried roots of Dhatura (
Datura stramonium L.), 100 g dried roots of Aktan (
Calotropis procera (Aiton) W.T.Aiton), 100 g dried roots of Munja (
Moringa oleifera Lam.), 2 fruit of Jafar (
Myristica fragrans Houtt.) and 200 ml Mustard oil.
Preparation: Collect, crush and boil all the ingredients together into mustard oil to prepare an ointment. Allow it to cool and store in a glass bottle.
Dosage/Application: Massage the affected area twice daily till it cures.
Ingredients' availability: The plants are available in nearby places. Mustard oil is available in the local market.
