Disease symptoms: Runny or stuffy nose, Sore throat, Cough, Congestion.
Ingredients: 2 shoots of Onathumaba (
Leucas aspera (Willd.) Link), 2 shoots of Kanjunni (
Eclipta prostrata (L.) L.), 2 shoots of Poovamkurunnila (
Cyanthillium cinereum (L.) H.Rob.). and 1 L coconut oil/ gingelly oil.
Preparation: Crush the ingredients (except oil) together in a mortar. Boil coconut oil in a vessel and put the crushed materials in the oil before reaching the boiling point and stir it well. Boil the oil gently till foaming disappears, green color, and good fragrance appear. Then transfer the vessel from fire, allow to cool, filter and store the medicated oil.
Dosage/Application: Apply the medicated oil on the head 30 minutes before having bath until recovery.
Precaution: Avoid egg, fish, meat, pickles, excess sour, pungent, and salty foods.
