Herbal Treatment for Cough

Innovation Description
The traditional knowledge holder has
suggested treatment for cough.
Disease symptoms: Forceful
hacking, wheezing, coughing, tickly throat
Ingredients: 20 g leaves
of Tulasi (Ocimum tenuiflorum L.), 2 g dried fruits of Black pepper (Piper
nigrum L.), 5 g rhizome of Ginger (Zingiber
officinale Roscoe) and 10 g Jaggery.
Preparation: Collect,
wash and boil the ingredients to prepare a decoction.
Dosage/Application: Consume
the prepared decoction twice daily till relief.
Ingredients' availability: The plants
are available in nearby fields. Jaggery is available in the local market.
