Herbal Treatment for Cough

Innovation Description
The traditional
knowledge holder has suggested treatment for cough.
Disease symptoms: Forceful hacking, wheezing, coughing, dry cough
Ingredients: One handful of leaves of Basil (Ocimum basilicum L.), handful fruits of Cumin (Cuminum cyminum L.), 200 g fruits of Lemon (Citrus × limon (L.) Osbeck) and 20 g of Honey
Preparation: Cut and squeeze the lemon fruits to extract the juice. Boil the leaves and fruits in 500 ml of water to prepare a decoction.
Dosage/Application: Feed the prepared decoction along with lemon juice and honey to the affected animal twice daily until recovery.
Ingredients' availability: The plants are available in nearby places and honey is available in nearby markets.
