Herbal Treatment for Dengue Fever

Innovation Description
The traditional knowledge holder has suggested
treatment for dengue fever.
Disease symptoms: High fever, headache, rash and muscle, joint pain.
Ingredients: 100 g root of Kadugarohini (Picrorhiza kurroa Royle ex Benth.), dried
fruits of Milagu (Piper nigrum
L.), dried fruit of Thippili (Piper
longum L.), fruit peel of Kadukkai (Terminalia
chebula Retz.), the rhizome of Sukku (Zingiber
officinale Roscoe), 10 g dried fruits of Kothamalli (Coriandrum
sativum L.), 10 g flower of Murungai (Moringa oleifera Lam.) and 5 g Honey.
Preparation: Collect, wash and boil the ingredients
in 2.4 L until the volume reduces to 300 ml. Then strain to collect the decoction.
Dosage/Application: Consume 60 ml
of the prepared decoction thrice daily for 40 days.
