The traditional knowledge holder has suggested treatment for diabetes.
Disease symptoms: Slow-healing wounds, increased thirst, frequent urination, weakness, weight loss or gain
Ingredients: 1-2 tender leaves of Moongil (Bambusa bambos (L.) Voss), 5 g tuber of Koraikilangu (Cyperus rotundus L.), 5 g root of Pathiri (Stereospermum chelonoides (L.f.) DC.), 5 g fruits of Kadukkai (Terminalia chebula Retz.), 10 g fruits of Nellikkai (Phyllanthus emblica L.), 5 g fruits of Thandrikkai (Terminalia bellirica (Gaertn.) Roxb.).
Preparation: Collect, wash, and boil all the plants in 2.5 L of water until the volume is reduced to 300 ml. Allow it to cool and filter the decoction.
Dosage/Application: Consume 60 ml prepared decoction twice daily for 21 days.
