Innovation Description
The traditional knowledge holder has suggested
treatment for foot and mouth disease (FMD).
Disease
symptoms: Blisters
in the mouth and feet, drop in milk production, weight loss, loss of appetite,
quivering lips, frothing
Ingredients: 20 g bulb of Lehasun (Allium
sativum L.), 100 g leaves of Bhanga (Cannabis sativa
L.) and 20 ml of mustard oil.
Preparation: Fry the cloves from the bulb in
mustard oil. Crush leaves and fried clove to prepare a bolus.
Dosage/Application: Feed one
bolus to the affected animal once daily till cure.
