The traditional knowledge holder has suggested treatment for foot and mouth diseases (FMD).
Disease symptoms: Blisters in the mouth and on feet, weight loss, loss of appetite, itching
Ingredients: 1 kg fresh whole plant of Gokhula kant (
Hygrophila auriculata (Schumach.) Heine).
Preparation: Collect and cut the plant into small pieces. Boil in 2 L water until the the volume reduced to half to prepare a decoction.
Dosage/
Application: Wash the legs and mouth of the affected animal with the prepared decoction twice daily for 10 days.
