The traditional knowledge holder has suggested treatment for jaundice.
Disease symptoms: Fever, yellowish decolouration of body, eyes and urine.
Ingredients: 100 g leaves each of Bel (Aegle marmelos (L.) Corrêa) and Babul (Vachellia nilotica (L.) P.J.H.Hurter & Mabb.) and 100 g Mishri (Crystallized sugar).
Preparation: Grind all the ingredients to make a paste.
Dosage/Application: Consume the paste once daily on an empty stomach for 8 - 10 days.
Ingredients’ availability: The plants are available in nearby places. Crystallized sugar is available in the local market.
