Herbal Treatment for Pedal oedema

Innovation Description
The traditional knowledge holder has
suggested treatment for pedal
oedema.
Disease
symptoms: Swelling
or puffiness, skin that retains a dimple, stretched or shiny skin, increased abdominal size
Ingredients:
105 g root of Nathaisoori (Spermacoce
hispida L.), 6.25 g root of Vasambu (Acorus calamus L.),
8.75 g bulb of Poondu (Allium sativum L.) and 1 L Castor oil.
Preparation:
Collect, wash and crush the ingredients. Boil in Castor oil.
Dosage/Application: Apply the prepared oil on the affected area twice daily till
relief.
Ingredients' availability: The plants are available in nearby fields. Castor oil is
available in local markets.
