The traditional knowledge holder has suggested
treatment for retention of the placenta (ROP).
Disease symptoms: Foul-smelling discharge, fetid membranes hanging from the vulva, excessive blood loss, fever
Ingredients: 50 g stem of Aakdo (Calotropis procera (Aiton)
W.T.Aiton).
Preparation: Crush and boil the root with 300 ml of water until the water remains 100 ml.
Dosage/Application: Feed prepared decoction to the affected animal once only.
