Profile
Mr. Avdhesh Vishwakarma is from the Nawada district of Bihar. He is a fabricator by profession. He makes small tools and equipment for agricultural use.

Purpose
Many farmers in the nearby area of the innovator could not afford to purchase or rent the power tiller. So he decided to make a low-cost power tiller for farmers.

Technical details
The engine is present at the front of the power tiller. A pulley is attached with a flywheel of the engine. A belt is connected between the flywheel's pulley and another big pulley. An adjustable tensioner is present between these two pulleys. The tensioner has an extended lever handle with the help of which, it can be adjusted. The pulley shaft is mounted over the chassis of the power tiller with the help of two bearings. The pulley shaft also has a brake drum and a sprocket. Over the brake drum, a belt with a mechanical arm with a lever is present that can be used to control the pulley shaft rotation upon pushing the lever downward. There is another shaft after the pulley shaft that has teethed wheels and two sprockets. A chain and sprocket are present. The sprocket is also mounted at one side of the axle. The linkage is formed between the shaft and axle of the front wheel by a heavy-duty chain. A blade shaft is attached under the rear side of the chassis. A total 13 number of blades are present in 3 rows. Power transmission is done by heavy-duty chain and sprocket mechanism.
When the engine starts, the power transfers from the flywheel to the pulley shaft. Here, the tensioner works like the clutch that helps in supplying power from the flywheel to the pulley shaft when the engine is running. The blades present on the shaft in 3 rows at different angles crush large clumps of soil. According to him, this power tiller can cover 1 acre of land in 4 hours.

Benefits
It is easy to use and economically viable. It requires less maintenance and consumes lesser fuel.
