Profile
The innovator Mr. P. Kandraj is from Madurai district of Tamil Nadu. He studied up to 5th standard. He has been maintaining a small mechanical workshop. owner of 5 acres land cultivating sugarcane crop. 

Purpose
The innovator has developed a machine for the harvesting sugar crop

Technical details
The innovated machine has overall dimensions of  2.5 feet x 2 feet x 1 feet and the overall weight is around 13 kg. It runs on three-wheel mounting assembles. Wheel diameter is off 12 inches. The innovator has used TVS-50 engine with acceleration setup. In the front side of the engine, 20-inch length arm is fitted. The arm is can be rotated 360 degrees for cutting operation. Length of the blade of 8 inches fitted at the end of the arm. The cutting speed of the blade depends on the engine. This developed machine can be operated by a single person.
